Jesus' Life and Ministry
Introduction to Jesus’ Life.
Who is Jesus? Christians believe Jesus Christ to be the Son of God, born in Bethlehem to Mary and Joseph.
The Nativity: His birth was announced by angels and celebrated by shepherds and wise men, symbolizing hope and peace for all humanity.
His Early Life: Jesus grew up in Nazareth, living a humble life as a carpenter before beginning His ministry at about 30 years old
Teachings of Jesus
Jesus taught about love, forgiveness, and the Kingdom of God.
Famous Teachings: The Beatitudes: "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” (Matthew 5:5).
"The Greatest Commandment: "Love the Lord your God and love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39).
"Parables: Stories like the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11–32) and the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) illustrated profound spiritual truths.
Miracles of Jesus
Signs of Divine Power: Jesus performed miracles demonstrating God's love and compassion.
Examples of Miracles: Healing the sick, such as restoring sight to the blind and curing lepers
Feeding 5,000 people with five loaves and two fish (Matthew 14:13-21 ).
Calming a storm on the Sea of Galilee (Matthew 8: 23-27).
Impact: These acts inspired faith and revealed God's care for humanity.
Jesus' Legacy
Jesus' Legacy. Gathering Followers: Jesus chose 12 disciples to learn from Him and spread His teachings.
