Module Four

Human Sin and Separation from God

A Biblical Perspective on Sin and Redemption

Genesis 3:6 – 'When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

Sin entered the world through Adam and Eve’s disobedience.

Their choice led to spiritual and physical separation from God.

The Consequence of Sin

Romans 6:23 – 'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Sin leads to death and eternal separation from God.

Human efforts cannot bridge the gap caused by sin.

God’s Plan for Redemption

John 3:16 – 'For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Jesus Christ is the bridge that reconnects us to God.

His sacrifice on the cross paid for our sins.

Invitation to Salvation

Romans 10:9 – 'If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Repentance and faith in Jesus restore our relationship with God.

We are no longer separated from God but united with Him.
