Disciple Academy
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer “(Acts 2: 42 NIV).
A course for those who wish to grow closer to the Lord.
An Introduction
A loving community of faithful believers dedicated to sharing the story of our Lord and Savior.
Over the next twelve weeks, we will learn about the ministry and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who He was, what he believed, and what we shared with the disciples and those who would build the early church.
We will know Jesus as the Son of Man, who lived sinless lives. He was a teacher, preacher, and mentor who selflessly sacrificed himself for us, taking upon himself the sins of the world so that we could live life knowing that we are forgiven and redeemed and that a place awaits us in the Kingdom of Heaven.
We will present a segment of Jesus’ life, His teachings, interactions with His disciples, and the lessons He taught them each week. I truly hope that you will come to know Jesus as a real and loving person who was patient and kind and whose life and death were foretold long before His birth.
Let us learn about the Son of Man, the Prince of Peace, the Lamb of God, our Redeemer, our Defender, and Yeshua, the one who overcame death, rose again, ascended into Heaven, and is seated on the right hand of the Father, with the Apostles and Saints.
The Tenets of The Gospel of Jesus Christ
Jesus' Death and Atonement: The central event of the Gospel is Jesus' crucifixion, where He died on the cross to atone for the sins of humanity. His sacrificial death is believed to provide forgiveness and reconciliation with God.
Human Sin and Separation: According to Christian teachings, all humans have sinned and fallen short of God's glory, which results in spiritual separation from God.
Call to Faith and Repentance: The Gospel calls individuals to respond by placing their faith in Jesus Christ, repenting of their sins, and committing to follow Him.
Jesus' Life and Ministry: Christians believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to earth, lived a sinless life, and performed miracles and teachings to reveal God's love and plan for humanity.
Resurrection and Victory Over Death: Christians believe that Jesus rose from the dead on the third day after His crucifixion, demonstrating His victory over sin and death and offering eternal life to those who believe in Him.
The Promise of Eternal Life: Those who accept the Gospel and trust in Jesus are promised eternal life with God and the hope of a transformed, abundant life here and now.
